Welcome to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Department of Public Health

 

The CNMI Department of Public Health’s primary healthcare facility is the Commonwealth Health Center (CHC). 

CHC is an 86-bed, Medicare-certified hospital, which opened in 1986 and expanded in 2007. 

 

The hospital’s scope of services includes emergency medicine, obstetrics, post-partum care, adult and neonatal intensive care, surgery, general medicine, pediatrics, dialysis, mental health and various outpatient services.

 

The Commonwealth Health Center serves an island population of more than 70,000.  In addition, the Community Guidance Center and Division of Public Health provide various community health programs for CNMI residents.
